Firebirds Along With Others To Conduct South Georgia Tryout
JACKSONVILLE, FL- The National Gridiron League is pleased to announce the league's first player tryout for the 2020 league season. The tryout camp will serve as the official launch of the league's 2020 Regional Player Tryout Series. Many of the league's coaches and scouts will be in attendance for the unique three days of tryouts July 26th, 27th, and 28th in Brunswick. The extended tryout camp will provide free agent players up to three days to impress league teams in an attempt to earn a league contract. July will mark the beginning of the second off-season of player evaluations for the National Gridiron League as the league continues to find the best available talent in the country.
Free agent players seeking to participate in the tryout camp are encouraged to register in advance. Currently signed NGL players (2019 league signees) are encouraged to participate (free of charge), as the teams will be contacting current players to discuss player availability. League teams are free to use the three days of drills and events as a team practices.
"We want to continue to change the industry and this weekend event will be a tremendous opportunity for players from around the country. Players will have a true opportunity to come in an earn a roster spot often times with the single day tryouts players wanted additional time to spend with our staffs to really show what they could do and this event will provide that opportunity." said National Gridiron League Chief Operating Officer Larry Barlow.
The league continues to work with the players to reach a long-term players' compensation agreement.
